ABOUT ME

Tim Lin was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and immigrated to the United States at a young age. At the young age of five, he already knew that he wanted to pursue design. His father took him to Los Angeles where the first thing he said was, “One day I'm going to build something even taller and more amazing than any building here.” As a child, he had a passion for building models so he decided that he would pursue his passion by going to Art Center and studying Environmental Design. Despite the challenges/obstacles he faced along the way, he always knew that designing was what he truly wanted to do.

 

“I design for imaginary thinkers – if you can think of it, I can build it. One way to describe my approach is that I think like a designer but still am able to convey my ideas to those who aren’t. My goal is to create something that is familiar to people but in a new and innovative style. As a designer, I am both creative and passionate about making dreams possible through my work.”
